PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Regarding my professional development I have my site set on three main goals to accomplish over the next five years. First, I want to transition away from bedside care into case management. This goal is one that I have recently accomplished. Second, I want to join a professional organization. I am leaning toward the American Case Management Association (ACMA). An ACMA membership can help develop my career in case management, as well as provide free CE-activities, up-to-date news on health care topics, advocacy, community forums, and resources for professional growth. And third, after a slight sabbatical, I want to pursue the Post Professional MSN Case Management program at Samuel Merritt University.
